Alzheimer’s Disease is an irreversible disease that is the most common cause of dementia.
Alzheimer’s is a type of dementia, but not all dementia is Alzheimer’s. There are many diseases and conditions that cause dementia other than Alzheimer’s disease.
In Alzheimer’s disease, people’s memory capacity decreases over time, personality changes, communication, learning ability and time and space information such as not being able to find the way home, confusing the kitchen with the bedroom are impaired.
In addition to these symptoms, decline in skills such as speaking, comprehension, planning and deterioration in the emotional state of the person (depression, stagnation, guilt, regret, tension, insecurity, anxiety, frequent crying spells, obsessive thoughts, stubbornness, sleep and eating disorders, introversion, anger and even hallucinations as the disease progresses) are observed.
It is of great importance to be able to provide the care they need for people who have difficulty in taking their own medication over time and who cannot even take a bath on their own, and to ensure the safety of people and their environment for home accidents that we encounter very often.
